HOW TO END TERRORISM

A few weeks after September 11, a mother and her daughter were walking in the woods playing a game. Aine was pretending there were monsters in the forest. The monsters were coming to eat them. They had to be vigilant. They had to defend themselves.

“What is the plan?” her mother asked. “What are we going to do if we see one of the monsters?”

“Feed them.”

“Feed them?”

“Yes. If we feed them, they won’t want to eat us.”
